Javi Ayora is the founder and director of Artefacto Architecture + Building. A Registered Architect with over 20 years of experience, Javi leads projects across residential, rural, community, and commercial sectors with a distinctive focus on lifestyle, sustainability, and site-responsive design.
Before founding Artefacto, Javi directed Ayora Architecture and co-founded Studio Origami Architects, collaborating with Certified Passive House Designer Izabela Katafoni. His career also includes valuable collaboration with Plot Design and participatory design work with First Nations communities across Australia.
Javi’s expertise combines creative design leadership, technical excellence in construction documentation, and a deep commitment to creating spaces that evoke belonging, connection, and joy. At Artefacto, he personally oversees the design and delivery of each project, ensuring every home or space reflects the highest standards of design quality and craftsmanship.

With over 20 years of experience in sustainable construction and project management, Jamie D’Emden leads Artefacto’s building delivery. He is a registered builder, qualified carpenter and joiner, and an accomplished Building Studies lecturer at North Metropolitan TAFE.
As founder of Eco Fusion Buildings, Jamie has delivered environmentally conscious construction solutions across Western Australia. His expertise in building methodologies, client-focused delivery, and education leadership ensures that every Artefacto project is constructed to the highest standard — with integrity, quality, and environmental responsibility at its core.
